Michael Rutchik (Blue Swing) - late 80s, early 90s
Michael Rutchik is a friend I've known since the late 80s during our days studying music at San Francisco State University. We formed a band called "Blue Swing", featuring singer Maria Kramer, doing jazz standards and playing gigs like Pier 23 and the Mason Street Wine Bar.
Besides being a great pianist, he's a brilliant photographer, designer and graphic artist. We've stayed in touch over the years; Michael did the artwork for the earRotator CD as well as the invitations for my wedding. He lives north of San Francisco and continues to produce amazing work through his business called Mudhaus.
