Big Bones and the Bonafides, late 80s - early 90s
Big Bones is a great blues harmonica player and singer who I met in the late 80s when we were both busking on the street in San Francisco. Later I joined his band, Big Bones and the Bonafides, and we played, as he used to sing, "every Sunday night" at the Grant and Green for a year or two. Man, that was a tight band, and those gigs were super fun. Bones is a hell of an entertainer as well as being a great harmonica player. This is a man with deep roots in the blues and he's played with some of the best in the business.
